What we do, however, is not sport psychology. We
don't just help people “manage” their mental blocks or “control”
their anger. We actually teach them how to eliminate the negative
emotions that inhibit them from performing at their best. Logically, when someone is
unburdened by negative feelings, they are freer to excel at their
